Since the mid-1990s, the multi-talented Udo Lindenberg has created an extensive collection of paintings, which is on display at the Ludwiggalerie in Schloss Oberhausen, Germany. Part of the exhibition is a sound installation that shows how some of Udo Lindenberg’s well-known songs came about. For this purpose, a room in the Ludwiggalerie was converted into a temporary ‘recording studio’ and equipped by Neumann, Dolby and HOFA-Akustik for an optimal sound experience. The acoustic equipment also includes two-metre-high, printed HOFA room dividers displaying paintings by Udo Lindenberg.
Curator Frank Bartsch on the collaboration with HOFA:
“The opening of the big Udo Lindenberg exhibition at Schloss Oberhausen was a good week ago now, and it was and continues to be a complete success. The Dolby Atmos Studio has turned out to be something very special, and visitors are absolutely thrilled with the sound. This is due in particular to the perfect room acoustics that you have created with your products and precise room planning.
The printed acoustic sails and colour-matched acoustic elements round off the visual aspect. Udo Lindenberg was fascinated during his visit. I would like to thank you for your uncomplicated support with this project, as well as for the fast and timely delivery.”
