Frequently Asked Questions about HOFA Frames
What are HOFA Frames and what are they used for?
HOFA Frames are high-quality frames made of 100 % German solid beech wood (PEFC-certified), in which HOFA Absorbers and HOFA Diffusors can be inserted and visually appealingly mounted. At the same time, they provide more flexibility for your room acoustics: Since the modules can be exchanged in just a few simple steps, you can adjust the acoustics of your room at any time – more absorption for a close, direct sound and precise control when mixing, or more diffusion for lively, natural room acoustics.
They are available in two versions – for one or two modules – and in four colors. Furthermore, up to four HOFA Frames can be combined to a free-standing, rollable HOFA Mobile Wall, which can be used in versatile ways in the studio.
How are HOFA Frames mounted?
HOFA Frames can be mounted on both walls and ceilings.
For wall mounting, the frame is attached directly to the wall with two screws – the required mounting material and installation instructions are included (also available as a download).
For ceiling mounting, please choose the corresponding mounting option when purchasing. Here, the HOFA Absorbers and HOFA Diffusors are additionally secured so that the modules hold reliably in the frame.
You can find detailed step-by-step instructions in the installation manual.
What material are HOFA Frames made of?
HOFA Frames consist of 100 % German solid beech wood in 19 mm thickness. Depending on the color, the wood is waxed or solvent-free stained and available in four colors: natural, brown, black, and white.
Where are HOFA Frames manufactured?
HOFA Frames are manufactured in Germany in close cooperation with a carpentry for people with disabilities (Lebenshilfe). By using HOFA Frames, you also support important social institutions.
