Frequently asked questions
Are the room dividers free from harmful substances?
Yes, of course!
The HOFA Acoustic Room Divider is made from PureAkust and is harmless to health – especially in comparison to acoustic products made from glass or rock wool. They are tested for harmful substances, odor-neutral, free of formaldehyde, bacteriostatic, and allergy-friendly.
The material PureAkust also meets the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 (highest product class).
Which fire protection classification do the room dividers meet?
HOFA Acoustic Room Dividers are fire retardant (B1) according to DIN 4102-1 and EN 13501-1.
Where is the room divider made?
HOFA Room Dividers, like all other acoustic modules from HOFA, are manufactured in Germany.
Acoustic effectiveness
Despite its slim material thickness of 40 mm, which gives the room divider a subtle appearance, HOFA PureAkust® offers outstanding absorption and insulation capabilities.
The HOFA Acoustic Room Divider achieves class A sound absorption (according to EN ISO 11654) in typical use. It provides significantly higher absorption than industry-standard products (up to 55% better compared to melamine foam and up to 70% better compared to egg crate foam of the same thickness).
HOFA Stand
Mounting a HOFA Acoustic Room Divider is very simple. The room divider and the stands are assembled, after which the partition can be positioned at the desired location. Due to its low weight, it can be easily moved by one person in the room.
The room divider can be ordered with stands made from high-quality black beech wood or recycled cardboard. Due to the higher strength of the wooden stand, the distance to the floor is smaller, which positively affects sound insulation.
