When does acoustic planning make sense for me?
You need acoustic planning whenever you are unsatisfied with your room acoustics, want to consider room sound right from the planning stage, or are unsure which acoustic modules you actually need.

Which acoustic planning service should I choose?
There are three different room planning models available at HOFA-Akustik:
- With the free Acoustic Planning FREE, experienced acousticians will provide you with a concrete solution for your room within just a few days, along with a non-binding quote for the required acoustic modules.
- If you also want a detailed 3D visualization of your room, Acoustic Planning PRO is just right for you.
- For particularly demanding acoustic requirements, Acoustic Planning PRO with On-Site Measurement is also available. A HOFA acoustician will measure the acoustic properties of your premises and, if applicable, your speaker setup using professional equipment, advise you on-site, and create the acoustic plan based on these findings. Depending on complexity and room size, the on-site measurement takes approximately 2 to 5 hours. We will then provide you with all measurement results.
Please note: Reverberation time, room modes, and other key acoustic room characteristics can be calculated very accurately based on room dimensions alone. Therefore, on-site measurement is only necessary for exceptionally high requirements, complex spatial situations, or official regulatory guidelines.

I’m planning a large-scale project/construction project – which acoustic planning service should I choose
All three planning models are generally suitable for large-scale projects as well.
However, please contact us in advance if you want to acoustically optimize areas over 50 m², multiple rooms, or entire buildings. This allows us to discuss your project in detail and offer you a tailored, cost-effective solution.

How does the acoustic planning process work and what information is required?
For Acoustic Planning FREE, simply fill out the inquiry form, which asks for all the information our acousticians need for the plan—specifically room dimensions, room usage, your wishes, and your budget. Photos and sketches of your room also help us get an accurate impression. Smartphone photos and simple drawings are completely sufficient.
You will then receive your tailored solution within 1 to 3 business days.
If you book Acoustic Planning PRO, you will receive the form via email after placing your order.
As soon as we have received all the required data, you will receive your plan, including the 3D model and calculations, within 2 to 5 business days.
For Acoustic Planning PRO with On-Site Measurement, we will schedule an appointment with you individually.
After the planning phase, HOFA acoustic experts are available to answer all your questions and requests via phone, chat, and email. We are also happy to offer a free video consultation to discuss the plan with you, provide further guidance, and implement any adjustments right away.
Once you decide to move forward with the implementation, we will gladly handle the next steps, including prompt delivery, easy-to-understand installation plans and instructions, or, upon request, mounting of the acoustic modules by our installation partners.
How much does acoustic planning cost?
Acoustic Planning FREE is completely free of charge.
Acoustic Planning PRO with 3D visualization regularly costs €199—for orders starting at €1,500, we will fully refund the cost of the planning.
Acoustic Planning PRO with On-Site Measurement is available starting at €790 plus travel expenses. In this case, part of the planning costs will be refunded with your order.
All plans and quotes are naturally non-binding, allowing you to decide afterward which measures you would like to implement.
