Effective Reduction of Reverberation Time
Our acoustic curtain STUDIO was specifically designed to meet the highest demands in sound absorption.
Made from two (STUDIO 2) or three (STUDIO 3) layers of extra heavy fabric, the sound is absorbed very effectively down to the low-midrange frequencies, unlike normal curtains.
This special acoustic curtain is ideal, especially in control rooms and spaces with high sound levels, to significantly reduce the reverberation time.
Top Quality
The acoustic curtain is handmade in Germany directly at HOFA. Excellent craftsmanship and high-quality materials ensure that the curtain still looks great even after years of use. The curtain is available with metal eyelets or stage tape, hemmed all around, and can be used on both sides.
Acoustic curtains custom-made for you
HOFA acoustic curtains can be custom-made and installed using various mounting systems, for example, in front of windows, doors, or walls. Thanks to our in-house sewing workshop, many sizes and configurations are possible. We are also happy to accommodate personal requests.
Acoustic effectiveness
Our acoustic curtains have the highest efficiency in the mid and high frequencies, which can be enhanced by multiple layers.
Selected fabrics of high weight are used. The acoustic effectiveness, tested by accredited institutes, shows significant sound absorption starting at around 300 Hz.
At 500 Hz, the 3-layer STUDIO acoustic curtain in a gathered state (red curve) absorbs over 80% of the sound energy, while in an ungathered state (blue curve), it absorbs slightly less than 80% of the sound energy in this range.
We recommend a gathering ratio of 2 to 1. A curtain with a width of 200 cm perfectly covers an area of about 100 cm in width.

Is the curtain flame retardant?
Yes, the curtain uses fire-retardant materials according to DIN 4102/B1
Where can I get suitable installation material?
You can find suitable mounting materials in our shop, in the configurator, and we are also happy to advise you directly.
Is the curtain also available with stage tape?
Yes, curtains with stage tape can be ordered directly in our curtain configurator. Alternatively, you can also contact us directly; we are happy to advise you.
Does the curtain darken?
Yes, due to the thick fabric layers, the curtain also has a darkening effect.
For particularly high requirements, such as video grading, a variant with an additional dimout layer is also available upon request.
Does the curtain also protect against heat and cold?
Yes, due to the number of layers and the thick molleton fabric, the curtain also helps to keep the warmth inside in winter and the heat outside in summer.
Can the curtain be fitted with additional cover fabric or edge and handle protection?
Yes, we are happy to deliver your curtain with custom edge protection or handle protection. We use durable synthetic leather in the color of your choice as the material. Additionally, we can process your desired fabric as the cover material.
