Flexible Room Acoustics
Frames can be equipped with HOFA Diffusers and HOFA Absorbers.
Absorbers ensure a close, direct sound for instruments or vocals and perfect control when mixing.
Diffusers create a lively, ambient acoustic with a high degree of naturalness.
For Wall and Ceiling
Frames can easily be mounted on the wall and ceiling. For ceiling installation, absorbers and diffusers are secured with an optionally available ceiling mounting set.
Frames + Casters = Mobile Wall
For mobile, flexible acoustics, up to 4 frames can be assembled into a mobile wall. This gives you a freestanding, rollable acoustic wall that can be used in a variety of ways in the studio.
Frequently Asked Questions about HOFA Frames
What are HOFA Frames and what are they used for?
HOFA Frames are high-quality frames made of 100% solid German beech wood (PEFC-certified), in which HOFA Absorbers and Diffusers can be inserted and mounted in a visually appealing way. At the same time, they provide more flexibility for your room acoustics: Since the modules can be swapped out in just a few simple steps, you can adjust the acoustics of your room at any time – more absorption for a close, direct sound and precise control when mixing, or more diffusion for a lively, natural room acoustic.
They are available in two versions – for one or two modules – and in four colors. Furthermore, up to four frames can be combined into a freestanding, rollable Mobile Wall that can be used in a variety of ways in the studio.
How are HOFA Frames mounted?
HOFA Frames can be mounted on both walls and ceilings.
For wall mounting, the frame is attached directly to the wall with two screws – the required mounting hardware and installation instructions are included (also available as a download).
For ceiling mounting, you select the corresponding mounting option when purchasing. Here, the inserted absorbers and diffusers are additionally secured so that the modules hold reliably in the frame.
You can find the exact step-by-step instructions in the installation manual.
What material are HOFA Frames made of?
HOFA Frames are made of 100% solid German beech wood, 19 mm thick. Depending on the color, the wood is waxed or stained solvent-free and is available in four colors: natural, brown, black, and white.
Where are the HOFA Frames manufactured?
The HOFA Frames are manufactured in Germany and in close cooperation with “Lebenshilfe” workshops for people with disabilities. By using HOFA Frames, important social institutions are thus also supported.
